While majoring in psychology at Colorado College, I interned as a research assistant at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and at the Anna Freud Center in London studying early empathic development and mother-toddler relationship patterns. After graduation, I worked as a project coordinator at the NYU Child Study Center focusing on adolescent depression and social anxiety. This research experience deepened my understanding for how our earliest relationships shape who we become and influence our emotional development throughout our lives.
Through this work, I discovered I was most drawn to the interpersonal, human connections—engaging with parents, observing their relationships with curiosity, listening empathically to their experiences, and feeling compelled to reflect back what I witnessed to support their growth. I decided to pursue my Master's in Social Work from Smith College, so that I could become a therapist.
This educational foundation is at the heart of my practice today – in helping parents as they navigate the joys and challenges of building relationships with their children and in supporting young adults as they examine and rewrite early patterns on the journey to becoming their unique, authentic selves.
My extensive clinical experience includes serving as a staff therapist at Bellevue Hospital Center, working with adults in both inpatient and outpatient dual diagnosis settings, and at Columbia University Counseling and Psychological Services, where I worked with college and graduate students, specializing in eating disorders, trauma, and transgender health concerns. I have completed advanced training and certification through Postpartum Support International, The Training Institute for Mental Health, Stephen Mitchell Relational Study Center, and The National Institute for Psychotherapies.
I also provide clinical supervision to early-career therapists, which keeps me inspired and continuously learning.
I know firsthand the beautiful messiness that is parenthood—the sleepless nights, the identity changes, the moments of doubt, and the incredible love that transforms everything. I've experienced what it's like to question your choices and work toward finding yourself again. I practice wellness through meditation, yoga, pilates, acupuncture, and time in nature—not because I have it all figured out, but because I've learned how essential it is to care for yourself while caring for others.
If you feel drawn to this approach and want support navigating life’s challenges, I invite you to reach out. Let's explore how we can work together.
